Sick And Tired - Try Alternative Herbal Medicine

I’ve had a pretty weak immune system ever since I was a kid, so I’ve had more than my fair share of illnesses over the years. I’ve never gone through a single year without getting several bad colds, the flu or even worse. As a result of my poor health, I’ve become very familiar with both over the counter and prescription medications. I never gave my medications a second thought until I read a published report that said these drugs might be doing more harm than good in some cases. That’s when I decided to look into alternative herbal medicine.

One advantage of alternative herbal medicine is that it’s all natural and chemical free. This means that there’s zero chance of becoming addicted to the medication, which is definitely not the case with prescription drugs. Another advantage is that alternative herbal medicine is often much cheaper than the products put out by major pharmaceutical companies. With prescription costs rising all over the country, prompting thousands of people to cross the border to Canada to buy their medications, this low cost makes alternative herbal medicine even more attractive. A third reason that someone might choose alternative herbal medicine is because of allergies. For example, I am allergic to acetaminophen, which is a common pain reliever and fever reducer in over the counter medications, so I need to find a different way to treat those problems.

When I tell people that I prefer alternative herbal medicine, I am often met with puzzled looks. The most common question I get is if I’m taking alternative herbal medicine because of religious reasons. While it’s true that some people might be doing so, that’s not the case for me. I would just rather treat my illnesses as naturally as possible rather than infusing my body with all kinds of chemicals that may turn out to be harmful in some way.

The second most common question I get is whether or not alternative herbal medicine actually works. I was genuinely surprised by the number of people that apparently think alternative herbal medicine is just a sham. I haven’t tried all the products out there, but the ones I’ve used have worked wonderfully well for me. Alternative herbal medicines successfully treat colds, the flu, headaches, digestive disorders and even a mild case of arthritis.

I’m by no means saying that alternative herbal medicine will work equally well for everyone and for every type of health problem out there. But there’s no harm in at least giving these products a chance. So if you’re looking for a different way to treat common ailments, then I suggest checking out alternative herbal medicine right now.

You Are Never Too Old For Belly Button Rings

I recently ran into a friend of mine who is one of the most stylish young women in the area. This hip and trendy gal is in her early 20s and she wears the hottest designs available in clothing and in jewelry. Some pieces that turned me green with envy is her belly button rings. Since I’m a mom and since I’m in my late 30s, I figured that the days of belly button rings were long gone for me. I would have to be happy with the notion that my dear friend can wear them with ease but I would have to pass. When I expressed my disappointment in the absence of this kind of jewelry she convinced me otherwise.

She argued that I work hard at the gym to keep a tight figure. Why not show it off with designer belly button rings? The trick is to find something that is elegant and sophisticated rather than young and flirty. I decided to take my friend’s advice and I started browsing online for belly button rings that would be appropriate for me. And did I find some? Oh yes. I found plenty belly button rings that are quite elegant and understated. There are many different designs and some are quite modest. I love that I can add this kind of pierced jewelry to my wardrobe without worrying about going over the top.

The first few belly button rings that I saw were a little too much for my modest tastes. These dangling designs were too flashy and shiny for me and I really thought that I was going down the wrong road when browsing though the colorful belly button rings. There were so many pink hearts floating around I thought that I was shopping for Valentine’s Day.

Just when I thought I should give up, I came across a well designed web site that had elegant, well made belly button rings that I could call my own. One design is actually called Elegant Belly Button Ring. This one was quickly added to my online shopping cart. The style was perfect and the price was right. The Elegant design is ideal for the mature woman because it is sleek and understated. There is a single cubic zirconia stone followed by a hoop with several shimmering chips in it. That’s all there is to these beautiful belly button rings. They make the perfect addition to the savvy mature woman’s jewelry wardrobe. There are plenty other designs to consider in belly button rings that appeal to all women. Don’t let age get in the way of style. There are too many choices available to just give up.
