Kids Love To Get Mail – Ladybug Magazine

Ladybug Magazine is one of the cutest brainstorms to hit the journalism market today. This crafty magazine caters to children between the ages of two and six. You may be asking yourself what toddler needs a magazine and the question is valid. My knee jerk reaction was to laugh at the concept posed by Ladybug Magazine but after a little thought, my snorts turned into nods of acceptance.

First of all, I send letters from Santa to each and every one of my nieces and nephews. My daughter got her first one before she was born. This may seem like a futile attempt to get children to believe in Santa Claus, but it is the first step to introducing them to reading. Ladybug Magazine works in much the same way. The letters from Santa are not designed to be read by the child. They are made to be read to the child. This is the fundamental step to reading in general.

There is another way that Ladybug Magazine is like getting letters from Santa Claus. This similarity is that the child receives them in the mail. Even a two-year-old child is beginning to understand the concept of mail. Children love to receive letters or just about anything else in the mail. This goes for Ladybug Magazine as well. This monthly magazine arrives twelve times each year bringing joy and excitement to your mailbox.

Each issue contains 40 pages which is a large number of pages for any child to go through. Some adults have difficulty getting through 40 pages of magazine. Ladybug Magazine fills the journal with engaging stories and poems written by today’s most popular writers. They are also illustrated by well known artists who help bring the stories to life.

What really animates the stories and poems is the parent or caretaker who spends the countless moments sharing the reading experience with the child. Ladybug Magazine provides the opportunity for you to set everything aside for a few minutes and share a special moment with your little one. It is the vehicle that begins your little one on his or her first reading adventure and it gives you a way to bond.

So when someone asks me why on earth I would order a monthly subscription for my daughter, I tell them that she simply needs Ladybug Magazine. It opens the world of reading to her and it gives her an her mommy a little time together each day to read and share. Every child could use that.

Look Great And Hide The Fat With Winter Dresses

Winter fashion is not usually the most flattering or interesting clothing. The winter is the one time of year where human survival instincts seem to really trump the desire to look good. Don’t get me wrong, if you go to your typical Mid-western college campus, you can sometimes see sorority girls wearing short skirts in the most foul, icy weather imaginable, drunk out of their minds and stumbling from frat party to frat party. In general, winter dresses disappear once Jack Frost starts to show us who is boss.

If you think about it, it is little wonder why. Who really wants to be uncomfortable in a winter dress when you can be secure in a warm winter coat? Even fall dresses are asking a little bit too much on some of the worst fiercest autumn days. The fall can be pleasantly crisp, but it can also be horrendous, pelting people with icy rain and cold winds. I remember how much I hated wearing winter formal dresses when I was growing up. If we would have a wedding, a funeral or some other fancy events to go to, I would beg my mother to let me wear pants like my brothers got to. In the end, however, I would always have to give in and do what my mom told me. I would bundle up, but my legs would be freezing.

As I have gotten older, I have grown to think differently about winter dresses. Nowadays, it seems risky and adventures to wear a dress in the winter. In the summer, it is difficult to stick out for your looks. Everyone is wearing revealing clothing and many of those people exercise several times a week. With winter dresses, you look good and you know it. People stop and look at you in the street simply because you are not bundled from head to toe. It can be pretty flattering and it definitely makes it easier to meet people!

With proper layering, winter dresses don’t have to be very uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, they can be downright cozy if you know what to wear. The key is to have a nice long overcoat to cover them. Wraps and shawls can also help, as can scarves and mittens. Once you have the proper attitude, winter can be another exciting occasion to invent new and adventurous fashion ensembles. It is all a matter of planning.
