If you’ve got a daughter who is in high school you’ve probably heard a thing of two about the prom. It seems as though the prom is in some ways more important than anything else during a girl’s senior year. Most young ladies spend months trying to find the perfect dress to wear to prom and in the past it was always expected that the dress would be floor length. At my prom another girl had the same long pink dress I did and my parents took a picture of us together. I still cringe when I look at that photo now over twenty years later.

The Internet has changed all of that. Now a young girl attending prom can order her dress from virtually anywhere in the world and have it delivered right to her home. There are many websites that have hundreds of short prom dresses and long gowns to choose from. After entering in your size, a credit card payment is initiated and a courier delivers the dress.

For a family on a tight budget all of the expenses associated with senior year can be a bit of a burden. That’s another reason why short prom dresses are a nice choice. In many instances they are considerably less expensive than a traditional long gown. Also, short prom dresses can often be used again and again. Depending on the color and style short dresses can be worn to weddings, parties and even out to a nice restaurant for dinner.
